Gluten Free Orange Date Bread

Servings: Serves 10 (makes 1 loaf)

INGREDIENTS

¾ cup boiling water
½ cup organic tangerine juice or any other pure, not from concentrate orange juice
1 cup dates, chopped
¾ cup Beet Sugar, Organic
1 ¼ cups Gluten-Free Baking and Pancake Mix
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
1 ½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon Virgin Coconut Oil in Glass Jar, Organic
1 egg
1 cup Walnuts, Raw & Unsalted
chopped

This super-comforting orange date bread recipe goes gluten-free without sacrificing flavor or texture, thanks to our gluten-free baking and pancake mix and our Organic Beet Sugar.

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F.
  2. Mix together boiling water, orange juice, chopped dates, and Organic Beet Sugar.
  3. Set aside until cooled to room temperature.
  4. Sift together baking mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and baking soda and set aside.
  5. Stir coconut oil and egg into date mixture. Mix well.
  6. Add dry ingredients and stir batter until moistened.
  7. Fold in walnuts.
  8. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes.
